Promote leisure planning skills with this enjoyable and educational therapeutic game

This game addresses the importance of leisure as a daily living skill for mental health clients in a variety of psychiatric and/or developmental settings. The game is based on a psycho-educational approach in which leisure skills are broken down in steps in order to promote learning, problem solving and social interaction skills. Contents of the game are: a game board, 6 board markers, 1 die, Thumbs Up "Windfall" cards, Thumbs Down "That's Life" cards, "Specials" cards, "Equipment" cards, reproducible voucher sheets and currency sheets. The game is played by a game facilitator and two to six individuals. Larger groups may play in teams.
