Spinning Ball Top - Accessible To Almost All Kinds Of Special Needs
By: Renata Bursten, Dragonfly Staff

Cause and effect is an important concept. It let's kids understand that they have the power to affect their world. This is an ideal toy with which to learn cause and effect. Accessible even to a baby or to a child with very solid fine motor delay. The strong sight and sound effect means a blind OR deaf child can also enjoy this toy. Encourage children to try pushing with both hands and any other parts of the body that they are developing control over. The top can be glued to a board if necessary to keep it on a tray. (then the board can be strapped on)

Getting Crawling with the Wiggly Giggly!

Use the Wiggly Giggly to encourage a new crawler with special needs to move forward. Try rolling the Wiggly Giggly back and forth about 6-12 inches farther than the grasp of the child. The bright colours and engaging sounds will tempt the child to get mobile and push the ball for themselves! The Wiggly Giggly is one of the few balls that actively engage cause and effect beyond the simple rolling motion. Your child won't want to put this one down, But don't worry. The designers cleverly pitched the groan tubes to be engaging without being annoying!
